Hello, I would like to leave a message for Ambassador[_______________(name)].
I am calling about the recent arrest and detention of 102 Tibetans who weretaking part in the return March to Tibet.　I greatly admire India's generosity over the decades in hosting Tibetanrefugees, but am very concerned that the Indian government has stopped theTibetans' peaceful March to Tibet and has sentenced the 102 marchers andorganizers to 14 days of detention.　The March to Tibet is a peaceful march, inspired by the non-violenttradition of Mahatma Gandhi and the Indian people, which I and many othersaround the world admire.
It seems as though India is sacrificing its principles because of pressurefrom the Chinese government, which is trying to improve China's image as theOlympics approach.
This non-violent march does not violate the requirement that Tibetans notengage in anti-China activity in India. It is simply a peaceful march. Ihope that Ambassador [_______________(name)] will urge the Indian governmentto support it, instead of hindering it.
